ARC Management and Multimedia Technology Recognized
In String of Award Competitions

SAN JOSE, Calif., and ST. ALBANS, England, March 27, 2008 - ARC International (LSE: ARK) announced today that its Chief Executive Officer and multimedia subsystems have been recognized by the Electronics Industry in a string of award competitions. Winner of Portable Design Magazine's "Editor's Choice Award"

The ARC® 417V Subsystem has won the "Editor's Choice Award" from Portable Design Magazine in the Multimedia Category. This underscores ARC's transformation to a provider of leading multimedia solutions for battery operated devices. Portable Design Magazine is one of the most-read publications in the U.S. for system-on-chip (SoC) designers creating silicon for handheld applications. John Donovan, Portable Design's editor-in-chief said in the statement announcing the awards, "The annual award recognizes new products that we consider to be the most innovative, choosing from among the thousands of product releases that cross our desks. This year has seen an outpouring of highly creative, and some potentially disruptive, products."

Finalist in EE Times's "Innovator of the Year" Contest
Carl Schlachte, ARC's president and CEO, is one of the five finalists in the Innovator of the Year category of the prestigious Silicon Valley "ACE Awards" event. Held annually by EE Times, the leading weekly global electronics newspaper, semiconductor industry executives are selected to receive this award based upon criteria including "bringing leadership, creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to technology, a product or business." The winner will be announced on the April 15, 2008.

Finalist for the Royal Academy of Engineering's "MacRobert Award"
ARC's multimedia subsystems have been selected as a finalist by the UK's Royal Academy of Engineering's "MacRobert Award," which is billed as the UK's premier award for innovation and engineering. The Award, first presented in 1969, recognizes the successful development of innovative ideas in engineering. It seeks to demonstrate the importance of engineering and the role of engineers and scientists in contributing to national prosperity and international prestige. The award will be announced June 9, 2008.

Finalist in the "Elektra" European Electronics Industry Awards Event
The ARC VRaptor™ Multimedia Architecture was a finalist at the Elektra European Electronics Industry Awards 2007 in the category of Embedded System Product of the Year. The Elektra Awards bring together the whole industry in a celebration of the companies and people that are achieving the highest standards and driving the electronics industry forward. They are designed to promote best practices in key areas including customer care, sales growth, innovation, and employee motivation.

Finalist in the "DesignVision Awards" Event
The ARC Video Subsystem was a finalist at the International Engineering Consortium's (IEC) annual DesignVision award event in Silicon Valley. The ARC multimedia solution was nominated in the Semiconductor and IC Category by a committee of 115 "of the industry's top thought leaders." The IEC honors products and companies that develop "the best design tools and products in the semiconductor industry."
