CONTACT: Magazine Teams With Crème of Nature For Nationwide Cover Model Contest Baltimore, MD (BlackNews.com) - Heart & Soul magazine, the nation's leading source of health and fitness information for African-American women, has launched a nationwide search to find the "healthy, wealthy and wise" cover model for the publication's December/January issue. "We're very excited about this competition," says Yanick Rice Lamb, editorial director of Heart & Soul. "Our cover model search has been a hit with readers throughout the magazine's history. We've had some wonderful women grace our cover as well as the inside pages." The contest, which is being held in partnership with Crème of Nature, runs through August 31. It is open to women who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and legal residents of the United States. Along with supplying photos, entrants must also submit a 200-word essay describing how they embody the spirit, attitude and lifestyle of a healthy, wealthy or wise woman. The grand prize-winner will receive an all-expense paid trip to the site of a cover photo shoot, as well as a two-year subscription to Heart & Soul and a two-year supply of products from Crème of Nature, the gold standard for cleansing and conditioning African-American women's hair. Ten runners-up will receive a one-year subscription to Heart & Soul and a one-year supply of Crème of Nature products. Women can enter the contest by mail, e-mail or visiting the Buick/Heart & Soul Magazine Health and Wellness Pavilion at leading outdoor festivals targeting black communities this summer. Upcoming pavilion stops include Atlanta's "Ultimate Family Reunion" (7/28), Washington D.C.'s "Stone Soul Picnic" (8/11), Philadelphia's "Unity Day" (8/19) and Houston's "Family Fun Day" (9/2). Registration material will be available at each location. Heart & Soul will select a panel to judge the contestants. Winners will be contacted in the fall.
