Poll: Schools aren't meeting data-storage rules

Most schools were found to be unprepared to store and retrieve electronic communication sent by their  students, according to a recent survey. An informal survey administered by data-management company CommVault suggests that most schools still don't have plans for storing and retrieving electronic communication, such as eMail and instant messages, sent by their students and staff--despite new federal rules that make such information subject to the discovery process in the event of a lawsuit.  Full Story
