Looking Good - Acryllic Nail Removal

LOOKING GOOD - May 29, 2007
"Tips To Help You Look & Feel Your Best"
------------------------------------------------------------

Good Morning,

Captain Flyboy arrived home and was here long enough to kiss
the wife, pet the dogs, hand out money to the two youngest,
(17 and 19), while giving them the "get a job" talk, have a
good dinner and drop off dirty laundry before heading back
out yesterday for three days. Flypup also came and went and
informed me that he will be getting a week of vacation in
a few weeks and will see me then...

Can someone again 'splain why Empty Nest syndrome depresses
some people?

:-)

I have gotten quite a few letters asking an easy way to
remove acryllic nails. There is no real quick and easy way
although this method will do the trick with as little damage
to your real nail as possible. The key to this is to be VERY
patient and careful in the process...

You will need an acetone polish remover. You can get it anywhere
you purchase any type of nail products. You will need a small
glass bowl to soak your fingers in. A towel, and a coarse nail
file or light grade sandpaper...

Soak your fingers in the bowl. If you want, use two bowls and
soak both hands. (I would do one hand at a time since you'll
probably need one hand to scratch something at one point during
this process)...

Cover your hand in the bowl with a thick towel to keep heat in.
Heat with the acetone speeds up the "melting" effect of the
nail...

After about 10 minutes, lightly file the top layer of the acryllic
that will be soft and gummy. Continue doing this until you are
down to your own nail. Remember, take your time and don't rush
the process...

When you have gotten down to your own nails, wash your hands
and dry them well. Apply Vitamin E oil on the nail and around
cuticle and nail bed. Massage it in well. Doing this before
you go to bed is a good idea...

Protect your weakened nails by applying a polish with fibers
in it. Try not to use too much nail polish remover while you are
trying to get your nails stronger...
